Egypt seeks $145 billion in exports in 2030

Egyptian cabinet spokesman Mohammed Al-Khomsani gave details of Prime Minister Madbouli's visit to Port Said and Damietta governorates, Said the government was working on a plan to increase exports to $145bn by 2030. The government aims to rationalise import bills by supporting industry production and increasing overseas exports. Egypt's exports currently total $53 billion and need to grow by about 17 per cent a year to meet the target. The government offers a number of incentives and detailed plans to address the challenges facing exporters. Madbury visited the port of Damietta to support exports and ensure that measures are taken to develop the port to support export growth.
